Well, it is very difficult to adequately convey the spectacular nature of the Villa Estrella del Mar. The website and descriptions of the Villa are awesome. As you research, you get a vague idea as to the beauty of the facility, the unbelievable views, and the amenities provided. However, if you are lucky enough to see this place, and stay there, I guarantee you will be blown away. Each master suite is unique, in perfect repair, and gorgeous. We stayed in a suite, which overlooks the pool, complete with a private outdoor shower, the most beautifully tiled bathtubs I have ever seen, and many beautiful pieces of art. Our suite had views of the pool area and a panoramic view of the sea. Falling asleep to the sound of the surf was an enormous treat. Each of the suites at the Villa is unique, and none would disappoint. The common areas at the Villa (it is huge) are breathtaking. (This sounds over the top, but it is absolutely true). The pool area, great room and terraces, the kitchen…..all are beautifully decorated, yet cozy and welcoming, incorporating many fine pieces of art. There was so much to see that we were still discovering art and portions of the Villa we had not yet seen by the 5th day of our stay. The staff at the Villa, including the chief, Paco, chefs Lupe and Lola, and Jovanni, who, among other things, made certain we were never without a pina colada, cola or margarita, were professional, personable and very good at their specialties. The professionalism extended across all the staff, including Ana, Patty, Arturo and Ismael. Among our favorite Villa staffers was the mysterious Laundry Fairy, who surreptitiously removed dirty laundry from our suite each morning and delivered back perfectly clean laundry the following day. We never caught him/her doing this, but we thank you! As this review is too long, I will simply state that staying at the Villa is a once in a lifetime experience. We will be getting a group together so we can go back. This is the perfect destination.
